We are SUPER excited to finally be able to share some big news!
WE'RE MOVING! (...AGAIN!)
If you are thinking we are CRAZY, yes we know. We think so too! We are humbled and excited to announce that Collin and I have both accepted amazing job opportunities right back in Fayetteville, AR!
If you know us well, you know that we have always had a soft spot in our heart for Fayetteville, so when we were transferred for Collin's job last January it wasn't the easiest move but it was a right move for us at the time. We have gained SO much experience and knowledge this year. We are so grateful for our time here in Texas and the many experiences we have had and lessons we have learned! While it was a short time here, it was meaningful. It's where we bought our first home and started our marriage. We learned how to deal with job transfers, moving, purchasing AND selling a home (more blogs to come on that in the future!), budget our time and money, and it gave us an opportunity to be closer to my family, even if only for a short while! We had a few pressing deciding factors that weighed in on our decision, but most of all, the move back for Collin and I provides exciting and enticing job opportunities for the both of us, along with living in our favorite city!
Collin started his new job this week as a Project Engineer for Milestone Construction Company. He is excited to be starting with such an amazing company and I can't wait to see him flourish in an exciting and challenging environment.
I am THRILLED to be jumping right back in where I left off at Bates Events, although I feel that I never really left. Amy and I have such an amazing and unique relationship and we are excited to be teaming back up to take Bates Events to new heights! I will be rejoining Bates Events with a new skill set of high-profile, fast-paced, domestic and international meeting planning experience under my belt and I am excited to see how I can apply my new skill set to meetings and events in Northwest Arkansas and beyond!
There were many times over these past few weeks where Collin and I were nervous about the many changes ahead, moving all of our household items (again!), selling our home in under a year, the list goes on. If I didn't learn my lesson on worrying the last go-round, I'd be a fool. We have cast all our worries and nerves on the Lord and we have prayed continually over this move. God has shown us time and time again that this is right for us! He has provided for us in areas that we feared we would be lacking, and has guided us every single step of the way.
We are excited to see what all God has planned for us back in Fayetteville!
