It's week 3 of the #OneRoomChallenge and last week for week 2 I shared our nursery progress so far after a fun weekend of shopping with my family.
We have more progress this week and are getting closer and closer to a completed room! We also finally picked a name for our sweet girl - Emma Grace! You don't realize how hard it is to name a human until you have to actually commit to a name.
I have a really fun piece that I am excited to share with you guys. I found the cutest marquee board that is customizable and perfect for a large wall space.
If you haven't heard of woodgram yet and you want one of these for your house - go check them out! They are made by Pine and Birch. I've linked their instagram here so you can see more inspo on how other people have used them and click the link in their bio if you are interested in one.
We hung the curtains up this week and I just love the sweet ruffle details on the curtain I purchased from target as well as the sheer gold polka dot panels that hang just underneath. I also found additional pieces for our gallery wall - but we may shift around the order and add a few more prints - but it is a good start. We worked on hanging shelves tonight as well. I am in LOVE with the white scalloped shelves and can't wait to fill them with books for our sweet girl to read.
I'm having trouble finding what I'd like to do around the mirror on the wall with the changing table - and I'm thinking about these pretty wall stickers that are vintage pink peonies. I think they would take up a lot of wall space and provide an impact without us having to hang additional pieces. What do you guys think? Below is a picture of the wall we are working with and some inspo for the wall peonies.
Next week I'll be working on bedding for her crib, wall decor to hang above her crib, and finishing the changing table wall decor. I was really worried about trying to get all this done in 6 weeks but I think I'm going to make it, and maybe even earlier than I thought!
I'm still working on finding a chair cushion for our rocking chair, but it is looking more and more like I might have to have it custom made since the back of the chair is so wide. I'm thinking I will go with white for the cushion. I am also looking for an ottoman to go with the rocking chair, but haven't found one that I love yet! I'm thinking maybe a pretty mint or robin's egg blue for that to pull out and match the mint blue color in her quilt.
Be sure to check out all the other participants and their room transformations for the One Room Challenge on the ORC Blog Page.
