One Room Challenge - Week 2: Our First Nursery
It's week 2 of the #OneRoomChallenge and last week for week 1 I shared my design inspo and a fun Pinterest hack that I have been loving throughout this process. This week I am sharing our progress so far on the nursery and goals/plans for this next week!
My mom and little sister came in town this weekend and we had such a great time shopping for the nursery. I won't lie I was a little overwhelmed! It's hard to pull together nursery decor and try to visualize as you are shopping for specific pieces.
My mom also brought up a few things for me and baby girl! I am so excited to have my mom's rocking chair for the nursery. She rocked me and my two sisters in the chair and has kept it for years so that one day, her babies could use it (cue the tears!) it is such a wonderful treasure and I can't wait to rock my baby girl in it for the first time.
We found a mirror for above the changing table and found just about everything else for the nursery at Target — who is surprised? We made some great memories putting together our first crib, and my heart is just so incredibly full with gratefulness as we slowly start to pull this room together and the day we get to meet our sweet girl gets closer and closer!
Now that we've done our fair share of supply shopping, it's time to start piecing it all together! I am still waiting on a few custom pieces I ordered to come in and I cannot wait to share what those are with y'all! I already feel so much better with our progress and our goal to finish this nursery before 3rd trimester arrives might just happen!
My goals for this week are to line out a plan for what to hang where on the walls, and to get our curtains hung. Small steps but slowly and surely it is coming together!
Be sure to check out all the other participants and their room transformations for the One Room Challenge on the ORC Blog Page.
